The on-line course is designed for those who are coming up on retirement over the next few years, or in many cases, have retired already and still have a lot of decisions still to make. The RetirementGoat approach is a holistic one where thinking about personal finances, relationships, health and wellness and meaningful work and recreational activities all have their place.
We are not Financial Planners. However, part of our process is to help people think about how their assets and income, lifestyle, appetite to continue working and manage living expenses affect their financial resources and needs. This thinking can greatly help a financial planner of your own choosing tailor a financial and investment plan to your needs or, if you are managing your finances yourself, make better decisions that balance financial risk to create a more fulfilling retirement.
The exercises provided with the on-line course are not marked or reviewed. However, there is supplemental material to help with a self-review of the exercises on completion. If you want any material reviewed, you can contact support@retirementgoat.com and a review and personal coaching session can be arranged.
You have spent years working at your career and have dedicated significant time and resources, both time and financial, to make yourself successful. Proper preparation for retirement ensures that you enter retirement ready for what's next. This can help ease the anxiety of a major life change and reduce the chance that decisions are made that could prove financially or emotionally costly. Personal coaching also allows you to focus on specific areas of interest to you, whether they are relocation, working or some other priority with circumstances unique to you.
We offer a standard hourly coaching package which revolves around a 55 minute effective coaching time. However, we can customize coaching packages based on individual needs and bundle them with the on-line course if desired.
The on-line Course provides 8 hours of pre-recorded course material plus self-directed exercises. The Moderated Courses are customized based on the same material and can be provided either through live on-Line sessions or in person.
